Event photography has become one of my favorite experiences. Here are photos I have taken as a volunteer photographer at the WaterFire art and music festival, currently held in August and September, in downtown Sharon, Pa. The event, originally started in Providece, RI, was brought to Sharon in 2013. Visit waterfiresharonpa.org for more information.
The organizers held a photo contest after the inaugural event and my submission won Best of Show. In 2014 they added a volunteer role for photographers and I jumped right in. I have photos from every year, even though I have missed a couple of events or was only able to capture some parts of the event. Now, I attend the entire event and cover every aspect I possibly can.
